Postcode

?
The postcode of the address you wish to simulate. UK residents only.
Postcode not found on postcode API. Postcode may be invalid or not in the UK. Please try a different postcode.
No properties with a domestic EPC were found for this postcode on GOV.UK. Please enter your home's EPC space heating and floor area values manually, or try searching for another property that is similar to yours.
Could not connect to postcode API. Check your internet connection. The API may be down, try again later.
Postcode is valid but could not connect to EPC API. Please enter EPC space heating and floor area parameters manually. These can be found at GOV.UK. Click to dismiss.
For homes located in Scotland, the EPC space heating and floor area parameters cannot be filled out automatically. Please visit the Scottish EPC Register to find out the parameters for your home.
Address needed for your home's EPC. Enter details manually or select a neighbour's address whose home is similar in build and size to yours.

Neighbour's Details

Postcode

?
The postcode of the neighbour's address you wish to use to substitute in space heating and floor area estimates for your own home. UK residents only.
Postcode not found on postcode API. Postcode may be invalid or not in the UK. Please try a different postcode.
No properties with a domestic EPC were found for this postcode on GOV.UK. Please enter your home's EPC space heating and floor area values manually or try a neighbour with a different postcode.
Could not connect to postcode API. Check your internet connection. The API may be down, try again later.
Neighbour's postcode is valid but could not connect to EPC API. Please look up your neighbour's EPC manually to find their EPC space heating and floor area parameters. Click to dismiss.
The EPC for homes located in Scotland cannot be collected automatically, and so cannot be used to substitute parameters for your own home. Please select an address located in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
Could not connect to EPC API. Please look up your neighbour's EPC manually to find their EPC space heating and floor area parameters, or try again later. Click to dismiss.
Connected to EPC API but response invalid. Please look up your neighbour's EPC manually to find their EPC space heating and floor area parameters, select a different neighbour or try again later. Click to dismiss.
Neighbour's EPC does not contain a space heating or floor estimate. Select a different neighbour.

An unexpected error occured running the simulator using client side Rust. If the problem persists please contact us to report the problem.
The simulation exceeded the maximum allotted runtime of 10 minutes. This could be due to device performance and compatitibility, or not using surface optimisation for simulations with a large floor area and maximum water tank volume.

Results Page Guide

Results Page Guide

The simulator outputs a lot of data which can be overwhelming. To help you visualise the performance of the simulated systems, the results can be explored in either graphical or tabula form. A list of the page's functionality is given below.

  1. Select two metrics to plot, from Upfront/Yearly/Lifetime Cost and Yearly Emissions.
  2. Click on a graph marker to explore a system's details.
  3. Pan and zoom the graph to seperate systems with similar performance.
  4. Menu items with an arrow can be expanded to explore further details.
  5. Toggle the visibility of heating technologies on the graph by clicking the eye icons.
  6. Click on any technology or performance metric from the menu to learn more.

To start exploring your results click the cross at the top of this card to dismiss it. You can return to this guide at anytime by clicking the Results Page Guide button below the submit button.
